Abd El-salam
I build the path from commit to cluster: Kubernetes on bare metal and EKS, Terraform and Ansible for provisioning, and GitOps delivery with ArgoCD.
3+ years in DevOps. Currently at I-SOFT INTL, automating infrastructure and deployments across on-premises and AWS environments.

From telecom support to platform automation
Mar 2023 – Present
DevOps Engineer, I-SOFT INTL
Kubernetes, delivery pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Provisioned on-premises Kubernetes clusters with kubeadm: networking, node management and add-ons.
- Provisioned and managed Amazon EKS clusters on AWS with Terraform.
- Containerized and deployed microservices with Docker and Kubernetes; wrote custom Helm charts for repeatable deployments.
- Ran private Docker registries to store and distribute internal images securely.
- Built CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deploy, with Microsoft Teams and email notifications; added SonarQube static analysis and security scanning.
- Implemented GitOps with ArgoCD, deploying Kubernetes manifests from Git.
- Automated provisioning with Terraform and Ansible; wrote Ansible playbooks for server health checks that notify Microsoft Teams.
- Set up centralized logging and monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana; managed Azure DevOps repos, dashboards and processes.

What I automated, and how
Described from my documented responsibilities. No metrics are claimed because none are in my CV.
Cluster topology
Illustrative diagram built from my documented work, not a live cluster. Pick a component to trace its connections.
CI/CD with built-in quality gates
Challenge. Applications needed repeatable build, test and deploy steps, with the team kept informed.
Solution. Pipelines that build, test and deploy, run SonarQube static analysis and security scanning, and notify via Microsoft Teams and email.
Azure DevOpsJenkinsSonarQubeGitOps delivery on Kubernetes
Challenge. Keep cluster state and deployments consistent across environments.
Solution. Custom Helm charts and ArgoCD syncing Kubernetes manifests from Git; microservices containerized with Docker and images served from private registries.
ArgoCDHelmDockerClusters and infrastructure as code
Challenge. Stand up clusters in both on-premises and AWS environments.
Solution. kubeadm clusters on premises, including networking, nodes and add-ons; EKS on AWS via Terraform; Ansible for configuration.
kubeadmEKSTerraformAnsibleProactive monitoring
Challenge. Catch problems before users report them.
Solution. Centralized logging and monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, plus Ansible playbooks running server health checks that alert Microsoft Teams.
